Blizzards are not good for your diet but thankfully I packed enough stuff to get me through and today I got back on the road again and traveled home (a five hour drive). I had salad left over from yesterday and ate that for lunch with a little extra turkey meat from my groceries. Ate more almonds (my jaw is aching from all the chewing). Two interesting things I note is that I certainly was not use to consuming this much roughage and chew stuff...too many soft and easy to eat carb laden foods. The other observation is that I am getting full faster. For example, the salad from yesterday and being to full to finish and having it for lunch today. That is an awesome side effect of this diet!
I was home in time to make my own dinner which was a pizza pita. I found these awesome pita bread's at Walmart with only 4 carbs and they are great to stuff or use as wrap or in this case, a crust for my pizza! A little lonesome since I am home a day early and my sister/roommate doesn't get here until tomorrow. Lonesomeness can be a trigger for my eating and I certainly was crazing more food so, I ate some chicken jerky and cashews and overcame. Started working on my 2010 planner-procrastination is not a good thing and I feel much better now that I have it lined out at least for a few months. Watched some television and prepared myself for my classes I am teaching tomorrow.
